Any after-market sources recommended for those of you who have replaced window motors out of warranty? I have an 04.. I know one large supplier also provides reman (w/ or w/o regulator) motors:

I bought my window motor from Autozone and it came with a lifetime warranty.

Thanks, just found it online at Autozone..same reman motor I linked..Cardone..They want $133 with core trade in, lifetime warranty. I think Cardone is like the main supplier for all retailers.

yeah its worth the buy especially with a lifetime warranty at the rate our window motors broke.

anyone with window motor issues that have been posting..refer to this to save yourself about 180 bucks...

does anyone know if the driverside and passenger side power window motors are interchangable? or is it made specificallly for each side?

they are not interchangeable...they bolt up differently...thats why the sell the motor seperately.

just finished working on my window but noticed that the motor has very little torque (even after cleaning it). the motor works but not when it's in place. i guess i need a new motor but at least i know i'll be saving $$ on the labor. thanks. again.

I took mine motor out, used MAF cleaner on the copper wiring, 1000 grid sand paper around the copper plating, use a needle to clean between, and WD 40 into all the holes in the motor assembly. q-tip the residue. white lithium grease around the thread, motor contact.

if you need to reset the window because it wont roll all the way up, with the door open hold the down switch for 5 secs after its down, and close the door hold up switch for 5 secs after its all the way up.

wow man you had alot of Carbon Build up...funny thing is that my passenger decided to crap out on my yesterday...so I will be working on my window motors today.
