DIY LED Headlight

does anyone know if there is a DIY with pictures on how to install LED into the clear strip. and with wiring instructions? i guess that part won't be too hard, i'll just have to test each wire while holding the headlight

not the LED strip that goes along the side of the headlight and shines through, but actual individual LED installed down the center of the clear strip. I'm not sure how you would mount them in place. but actually, i have not even taken out my headlights to look yet.

anyone know what type of LED i should get if i want to match the stock OEM halogen 2004 HID? i assume they are OEM, i just got the car and i didn't see an aftermarket ballast.

i am planning to disable my amber light, and just leave it for signaling.
change the strip to white LED as the DRL.
ignore the high beem and not use it
leave the stock OEM alone and switch off the LED when these are on.

hoping that's possible.

Anyone?, I'll have to make a new thread in the V35 general section, no one in this section seems to bring anything to light

Red wire to red wire in the side marker light wiring and black to black. It is pretty easy. Connect the side marker wire in parallel with the LED light wires.

Wow, some people are right..........with a mod like that, the G35 is becoming the new Honda Civic.
All that car needs now is a VTEC sticker!

But, to each his own.

Did you cut your grill to do that? Maybe they would look better behind it, just a beam of light.

OEM Low beam is not halogen. Search around the forum for retrofit / custom headlights. there is a ton of custom jobs out there. There is also a DIY on how to take your lights apart so you can see what it looks like. IMHO buy a second set of lights if you are trying to modify them to that extent. Good Luck!
