Just a thought..... Since the lousy rear calipers on the G35 sedan are single piston ones, and since I have removed the lousy 2-piston front calipers, can I put the front 2 piston calipers on my rear rotors? Seems a way to bet more bang for the buck.

The front calipers from the '03 - '04 cars are not two pistons unless you have the ones from the '05+ cars. Go take a look at your front calipers and you'll see it is a floating 1-piston caliper. And no, the front caliper will not bolt up to the rear and even if it did it would not work with the rear rotor, the piston sizing would be completely off, and your brake bias would be completely out of whack.

Great, that saves me a bunch of work! On another note, these brakes are killer! I declare them broken in. They are a vast improvement over the lousy stock brakes. Why can't Infiniti do it right like BMW does? The more I think about it, BMW looms in my future.

I got my 3 m spacers delivered last night. Insalled them and now the Wilwoods clear perfectly!

Cato

I have a couple of questions for you...

Is the hub that came with the kit thicker than stock?

Is there a particular reason you went with ST SS lines instead of the SS lines that came with the kit?

I just placed my order with AZC with some things I had changed ...

The hub is the same one. It had to be removed in order to remove the backing plate. I could have cut them off, but the proper way to do it is to remove the hub, loose the backing plate and re-aatach the hub. The BBK was for the front and came with SS lines. I wanted to also upgrade the rears at the same time, so I got the StopTech SS lines for the rear and Stillen rotors and pads.

Oh OK, that makes more sense... I was wondering why you would change lines that already came with the kit... How are the Stillen rotors holding up? What pads are you using for the rears?

Here is a sneak peak of mine ...

I like the blue! I put the Stillen Metal Matrix pads on the rears. The rears don't do much work, so I'm sure they are still like new.

They still dust... Initial bite is OK, the stock was fantastic. My intensions were to eliminate the costly brake replacement of the OEM brakes. I believe I have achieved that... time will tell. Overall I am very happy the the AZC BBK.

Any update on the AZC bbk? I'm looking to do a full brake upgrade on my car, and besides Dave's great prices, I know his stuff is quality because I've got a lot of AZC parts on my 240Z. Just wondering how you find the performance of the Wilwoods?

Thumbs up

The AZC kit is great... I love it... There are a few things though... RUST - the parts that arent covered by the hub will rust... I painted mine so no more rust...

Perfomance wise - I really cant comment too much on it... I take it for mountain runs every now and then they do what they are intended for...

Here is a pic... Sorry its a little dirty...
