Hotchkis Sway Bars Installed

So I just installed Hotchkis sway bars on my 06 sedan. For the most part the installation was easy and took a bit under 2 hours.

Hotchis' guide is pretty good:

In addition to this guide you'll need:
  • 17mm socket. The manual says the end link nut is a 14mm, but it's really a 17mm.
  • 14mm deep socket. The nuts holding the frame brackets are too deep to reach with a regular socket or a wrench.
  • Pliers to bend back the tab on the end link.
  • Breaker bars!

I set my bars to soft in the front (second hole, 15% stiffer) and medium in the back (middle hole, 125% stiffer). The ride improvement is noticeable -- there's less body roll and a bit less understeer.

so..in order to readjust the settings, do you have to take the tires off everytime? or just jack up the car, unbolt, change holes, re-bolt back up, and un-jack?

You never have to take the wheels off...just jack, unbolt the bar from the end links, and swap the holes.

It's easy to adjust because the end links swivel. I upgraded my end links at the same time

you have to bend back the tab on the endlink bolt? really?

cause on the stillin's that tab either goes on the adjacent hole
or the bottom/side of the endlink.

I'm having trouble removing the front oem sway bar from the end links. It appears to just be spinning, and the little tab just bends. Any tricks?

Thanks

Look on the side that has the tabs. It should have a slot where you can slide in a open end wrench to keep it from spinning.

No, like the stillins, you just put the tab in the adjacent hole without bending the tab. Plus, that helps it from spinning.
