Bump, I have a few questions about the rebuild procedure.

1) the factory service manual says that you must grease the dust boot and piston seal with rubber grease. I am unsure as to what type of rubber grease is good for this step. Interestingly, page BR-34 of the FSM says "Do not use Nissan rubber grease". I have never seen the FDM say not to use Nissan's own product. Furthermore, OP, I noticed that you used brake fluid rather than rubber grease to lube the new piston seal. Is that ok, because the FSM says to use rubber grease?

2) generally how much air pressure does it take to pop the pistons out? I dont want to go overboard with the PSI

1) I have done multiple brake seal rebuilds and I used brake fluid to lube the piston seal and brake dust. I never had a problem. I never read the FSM for replacing the piston seal, but if it says to use rubber grease then do it. Again I never had any problem using brake fluid.

2)I think I had mine setup around 80 PSI. You can try 60 PSI and if is not enough pressure slowly increase it until you get enough force to get them out.

Good luck
