I just changed my plugs on my Sedan on the weekend and had the same thing. No problems driving or no performance loss. I did some reading and saw something about a valve cover and possibly the pvc valve needing replacing. I haven't checked my plugs again, but I will try before I go on vacation.

It's true; if your pcv valve is malfunctioning, the pressures inside the valve covers will increase and cause them to seep/leak, however, the leaking spark plug tube seals will leak regardless of pcv (positive crankcase ventilation) valve functionality; it's a design flaw on these types of valve covers which are also used on Hondas and some other engines.

has anyone tried the E3 spark plugs? I was watching Horse Power on Spike a while back and they showed that they added power and improved gas mileage... any thoughts for the G?

Man am I pissed! I just installed my plugs but the front is facing away from the intake. Should I even bother or should I go ahead and fix it right away?

ok I just took it for cruise, I do notice more power with the new plugs but is it worth taking out again just to make sure the front of the plugs are pointing towards the intake?

This is the #1 reason I keep pushing for spark plug change before factory 70k warranty is up. This is SO common, it should be standard. Check my thread on this issue here:

Looks like you'll need new valve covers, as just the spark plug tube seals separately aren't available. Let me know if you need any help replacing them.
