Thank you Yume. I knew this was a rip-off. I had the mod's over on my350Z board tell me to back off when it started to get heavy over there. This type of "KIT" belongs on ebay, where ripping off is common place. I could see if it was somekind of casting etc...... that he made and wanted to recoup some of the cost but come on................ Sorry but this was a rip-off from the word go. Not what the community wants or needs, SHAME on them!!!!

I would be mad if I paid 40 bucks for this mod... I've bought much more advanced technology that requires much more to make for less... a 2 gig usb memory is one example... I wouldn't mind paying 20 for this, but 40 is a rip off

true, that a usb memory card is cheap in materials, but how many of us know how to make it? or would understand how to make it using a DIY (it would be a pretty complicated DIY too)? This clutch thing is something anyone who knows how to use glue and tape can make...the usb memory is not that simple.

heres the lowes parts you'll need if you hate home depot

Edit: you won't need two rolls of tape (unless you're severely retarded and cant tape something the first 400 times)

Im afraid this wouldn't be able to take the punishment I do to my car. I take my car frequently to the drag strip, but something about having such a simple material taking all this abuse from stomping on the clutch is having me fearful...

^I don't think it's the material that will wear out first but the 3m tape. I'm sure if you measured the gapping material you could find a different material at home depot that woudl be metal or another component.

Just did this mod over the weekend. I ended up using 8 nickels and a penny, so $.41 total! I superglued 4 nickels and penny for one stack, and 4 nickels for the other stack. The longer stack goes on the bottom, and the shorter stack goes on the top by the switch. Thanks to MustGoFastR for suggesting using 4 nickels and 2 pennies and 4 nickels and 1 penny. I didn't want to chance it and go too aggressive, 7 pennies IMO was too much. Works great, and reduced the travel near the bottom by ~1.5"

Simple idea/fix....thanx.
May try this but fabricate it with something else rather than coins or furniture skid feet...lol...sorry thats ghetto in my book.
No flaming intended.

I dont bash that guy for marketing his idea. I bash him though on price. $10 -15, more realalistic. Maybe $20, maybe, but not $45...lol
