Besides being able to make the wires yourself, there has been a lot of debate whether grounding actually improves engine performance. I would be interested to hear your feedbacks.

It's a dirty job, but somebody had to do it!!

I thought of DIY myself, but after seeing the quality of the 'kit' glad I went that route.

I asked for this in September of 05!

http://rupromenergo.ru/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/66917-grounding-points.html

I didn't get an answer though and I can only assume that people didn't want to give this info away since there was another "KIT" that is being sold here and giving away lengths and grounding points will harm this "KIT" sales. Anywho, I have the voltage stablizer by Apex'i and have spare cable that I bought (both from Scorsche and another high end brand) and just wanted to use up all the wires. This will be great! Thanks for the link!

I made my own wire kit and CAI for my old maxima. 8 AWG is fine considering the oem stuff is like 14-18 awg or so. I crimped with home depot connectors and use a huge screwdriver and hammer to crimp them. The fluxed/soldered the connections. Seeing the solder cover the connector was cool.

is there a limit to how big a wire to use? i've got access to some left over 0-gauge (or was it double-0?) wire from our anodizing system, over kill?

Nothing is an overkill when it comes to wires, although a high quality wire that is smaller will be better than a thicker wire that is of lesser quality. So, 99% pure Oxygen free copper wire that is multistrand of 8 guauge will be better than lesser quality 4 guage.
