Dry vs Wet nitrouse

i want nitrouse in my car, but in no case can i afford to hurt the engine and ruin it. i would rahter use dry because it is less complex, less expensive, and doesnt involve knowing so much like all the fuel mixture and tuning and allll that stuff involved with wet. on the otherhand i hear that wet is safer to set up but is so expensive. please give me my setup options dry set up, wet setup, whatever possible total safe setups there are and pros and cons for each, with aprox prices.....

Thumbs up

A wet nitrous kit mixes nitrous and enrichment fuel by means of an injector nozzle that is mounted before the throttle body. This mixture is then drawn into the engine through the throttle body and intake manifold. A "dry" nitrous kit injects only nitrous with itís injector while at the same time, increasing the engineís fuel rail pressure to feed enrichment fuel through the engineís own injectors. It all depends on the application. A "wet" kit is ideal for both normally aspirated applications as well as forced induction applications. It can require a little bit more installation time than a "dry" kit, but is easier to tune if greater than stock HP settings are to be experimented with. A "dry" kit is excellent for normally aspirated combinations that have a return style fuel system. so to answer your question..i would reccomend going with a "wet"kit.i used this on my z running a 100shot with no problem's,but you have to keep in mind that running any shot over 65 hp your going to have to install 1 step colder plugs and also retard your timming 1or2 degree's ...to answer your last question on pricing all depends on which brand nitrous system you go with..the zex kit runs around 500 bucks for a basic kit..i would personaly reccomend nitrous express system..its a little more expensive than the zex or "nos" brand but you do have alot more features you can choose from with this kit...i hope this helps you out in understanding about choosing your nitrous set-up

An engine on steroids isnt good.

Post a reply when you blow your engine.

like i stated in my previous post..unless you plan on going forced induction go with the wet kit..with help from a friend you can have the wet kit installed in about 3hrs ...but i would highly reccomend having a shop with exp.do the install and dyno tune it..my personal opinon would be go wet..
