I'm not following the thread but FI guys drill out the rear valve cover vent to .5" drill out the PCV valve as much as they can comfortably then run both straight to breathers (I run large rubber hose to the pavement for both). Works great.

Edit also I have run the home depot can vented, it worked well comparing to it attached to the plenum. It was much better. It helped my OC issues but in the end a catch can won't fix the root cause; worn rings.

I have not read the whole 20 page thread, but I have a few questions. I have replaced my PCV, had the plenum apart and it was really dirty, cleaned it all back up and decided that I'm going to design a PCV re-routing system.
-I don't see a similar design to what I'm considering. My plan is to route the PCV and the bank 2 (rear) valvecover port into a T and into one side of the catch can. The other side of the catch can will be run into the port on the intake in front of the TB. The vacuuming of the crankcase oil vapor, being cleaned thru the catch can (filled with stainless steel wool) I would think that this would increase the equalization of crankcase gases between each bank, as now there is just one hose between them.
The current port of the front of the plenum that the PCV is now routed to will be plugged.

-Another thought.. as much oil as people are reporting catching in the filter bowls/catch cans.. wouldn't the accumulation be akin to some of the oil consumption issue that is so prevalent in so many of these cars. Obviously it is not a quart in 1000 miles, but a major contribution. Just a thought.

I'll post some pics and experiences of my setup

You should read more... This has been covered. I believe the instructions for the Edit: ARC can have you route it like that. If not... This has been covered in another thread here or in my350z. I'm not goin to go dig it up but the guy posted his lessons learned.

Will the oil catch can help solve my 2006 G35x oil consumption issue?

I'll have to look up the ARC, but I've been building engines and FI setups for 20+yrs. I'm all about the search but I don't have the time lately to pour thru pages of the same thing over and over. Thanks for the tip. I'll post my results once I try it.

**edit
I just did a google search on the ARC can and found some 350z stuff. I even found some with the same GReddy can that I have stashed in the trunk of my Aristo JZS147 project right now. I think I'll hook it up and see how it goes. Pics to come..

stay tuned

What I came up with. This catch can and the same type of hose was used on my 450hp 2jzgte drift racecar for many years, so I know it will hold up.
