but do they do the EXACT same service? i guess i have to look into each's service manual.

so when you take it to Nissan, you just ask for the specific service you want (such as 7.5k or 15k, etc..)?

i would think that the service would be different among the different Nissan models. do you bring your service list from Infiniti to Nissan and ask to do the same checkups/service?

The nissan techs are idiots. I have an armada right now and damn...all the problems i've had on it are magically not there until i hold their hand and point them out to them.

Infiniti vs Nissan.........

I've taken my G into the Nissan dealership where I
used to take my Z......my oil and filter and they still
charged me $30.....plus the service manager used to
work for me and said he's my friend.....ya right! The
biggest drawback with Nissan is that they won't do
warranty work....so I was told.

My last oil change/service was at a Nissan dealer.. my only complaint is the idiod lady behind the counter kept telling me it was $85 becuase they had to rotate the tires.. I showed her the manual and explained that they were different sizes and dont get rotated.. this went on for like 5 minutes until her coworker jumped in and said "You are right sir.."

Other than that, you cant beat the $30 oil change.

Likewise, I've heard good things locally about our Nissan dealership doing oil changes. Pretty hard to F up and oil change. Thankfully, for myself, I finally have ramps to do my own oil changes now! PSYCHED.

They can not put enough oil in. My next to last oil change, when I checked it after about 1300 miles, it was a quart low. Added a quart, and 1700 miles it was still fine, so they must have been in too much of a rush.

The only oil I've had to add in 28600 miles.

I do Infiniti Warranty work here at our dealership...then again this is Alaska and there is no Infiniti Dealer up here, so we do sublet labor and another dealer in the states files the paperwork, we just do the labor.

Not all technicians are created equal. I really don't see a reason for such a harsh statement, so you are having a bad experience...tough luck.

True enough......let's not paint all techs with the same brush..

We've all had good and bad experiences with most dealerships.

Best check out rep and customer satisfaction b4 patronizing.

Regardless of what anyone says, you can't stereotype all Nissan techs as bad and all Infiniti techs as good. It is going to completely vary from dealership to dealership. Granted, I have had MANY bad experiences at Lake Manawa Nissan in Council Bluffs. Anybody ever use them?

I would find out exactly what all is included in each service first. Then, if they are the same, go with the cheapest. Then, if they did a good job, you're set. Simple as that.

There have been enough examples given here on this site about poor Infiniti support at some dealerships to say this
