Angry Needs everybodys help! Bought a g35 bad engine sell or fix?

Hello, im new to the site but i have a question for everyone so feel free to answer what you would do. I bought a 2004 g35 coupe for 6100$ + 400$ TAX TITLE = $6500. The car came out to have a bad engine at 130k miles and i do not know what to do with the car. Should i put more money into it to get it fixed? Or do you think i will get my money back re sale it as is on ebay or maybe part it out and sell the parts. I am mad that i bought this but its my fault and ive got to deal with it so if anybody can help me or lead me in the right way thanks

specs
silver 2004 g35 coupe
black leather
sun roof
130k miles
clean title no wrecks

Tough situation, you got any locals capable of helping with engine swap? Its become really easy to find a replacement for a decent price

you can find an engine for a very good price. then just gotta find a way to get installed somewhat cheaply (not at infiniti) then i would recommend keeping it. Youll probably lose money selling it

Id put a new one in and keep it. Thats not too bad of a price and the car was only 6500, still respectable. Maybe put it up there saying it has a new engine and you might make money. If no one wants it for a price youre happy with then u should keep it IMO

I would fix it for as cheaply as you can ( while still doing it the right way ) and get rid of it if that is what you want to do...

If youre considering used check out the marketplace on here. And do a BUNCH of searching to find the cheapest install price at a respectable place. Or find some locals from this forum that know what theyre doing

I'd say you having $7800 in it with a new engine would be a great deal. For that much you arent going to get into a nicer vehicle. Especially if the engine has under 100k.

Where did you buy the car and how long have you had it for?

If you bought it from a used car lot, dealer, or even a private party and they did not disclose to you that it had motor problems, you should be eligible (under the Lemon Law) to have the seller pay for the repairs or take the car back and give you your money back... or at least that's the way it is in my state of Massachusetts. This assumes that you didn't do anything to damage the car yourself after the sale, you paid over a certain amount for the vehicle (varies by state), and that the problem was discovered within a very short time period of the sale (varies by state).

If you bought the car at an auction, then I doubt this applies.
