$3000 for performance upgrades

Alright so I'm new here been on forums before so I'll start off saying this is a new post trying to put together a good list of upgrades to have adding up to a 3000$ limit for performance looking for a 'kit' for complete performance upgrades instead of hopping through tons of posts. Already found plenum spacer z tube most likely going to go with a true dual tuned exhaust also. Looking for a list of a full set of upgrades for all around performance preferably low to mid range power also looking for what can make the engine able to run longer. Trying to find out where to go with my car looking for absolutely the best options wether that's rebuilding the engine or add ons whatever it is. Limit 3000$. Will greatly appreciate the help.

Polyurethane comp rod bushings
Poly lower control arm bushing (both positions)
Poly differential bushing
Kinetix adjustable upper control arms
SPC camber arms and eccentric toe bolts
Z-Tube
Plenum spacer (and MREV-2 depending on your year/tranny)
K&N panel filter
Springs and shocks (or coilovers depending on your needs/preference)
Lightweight harmonic balancer
Exhaust
Complete tune up (plugs, oils [engine, tranny, diff.], coolant flush)
Tune

Bam!

Won't fit in budget, but later you can also go for CF driveshaft and light weight clutch if you're a manual.

Thumbs up

First welcome to the forum. The first place to check for performance upgrades is the classified section on the forum. Members are selling things there constantly and you can save some money on your mods. For $3000, I'd purchase an exhaust system, 5/6th plenum spacer, lowering springs and performance shocks and struts (coil overs aren't needed), swaybars front and rear, intake system, hfc's, rear finned diff cover, quaife differential, one piece aluminum drive shaft, upgrade the brakes to the G37s bbk, nwp throttle body, strut tower brace, oil catch can, performance radiator, light weight pulleys, .264 cams,. The list goes on and on. It's up to you. There's a saying, "speed cost money, how fast do you want to spend".

Modding the engine will not allow it to last longer, at least not with $3K. It would also help if we knew what year your car is and whether its a 5AT/6MT. The link below has a listing of "engine" mods that should be attainable within your budget.

It's a 2006 I beleive it has the 'sport tuned suspension' but idk how good that is. Thanks for all the ideas.. I know I'm for sure getting a plenum spacer, exhaust kit, and a ztube with a tune that should be atleast 20+ hp gain but who knows if I'll really get it. Check out this exhaust kit,

/

and keep in mind 3000 is what I'm starting with.. This car is going to be getting new parts for the next year or two

With 3000 in performance mods you should get more than 20 extra horses. Don't forget about suspension tuning and braking. A well balanced car beats just a simply fast car any day.

That's right. I had a 94 z28 camaro before this... 5.7L v8.. Had a hot cam kit, lt4 heads, magnaflow catback exhaust, slp cai, completely redone suspension, also threw on some drilled and slotted rotors.. Took it out last winter, now it's gone. 😓😒 now I have the g it's a completely different car, and I love everything about it. Want to take very good care of it, and put all the right parts into it. like I said it's a 2006.. Had to get an auto tho because all the manuals I found had 90,000+ miles.. My g has 36,000 on the clock. I greatly appreciate all the ideas and help, just want to go out and find the absolute best parts and figure out how to get the MOST out of this car with a budget of 3000$-4000$. The for sure buys are going to be
Plenum spacer
Z-tube (if there's not a better intake for more gains)
Ark exhaust kit

no one has mentioned getting a comp tune! After the exhaust get a osiris comp tune. It will give you the best performance up grade! You will get 3 different settings. A performance tune economy and valet.it costs $500. You will control it with your cruise control.

heres what i would get since i already did it lol

used stillen single wall true dual - 750 installed
hotchiks swaybars - 325?
copper plenum spacer - 250??
art test pipes - 550?
injen sp cold air intake - 225 ( trust me on this the noise alone it makes is epic )
grounding wire kit from sxeces or w.e it is lol - 100$

youll need at least 500-600$ to install all of that. id save the rest for more engine bolt ons then id get a tune..

its only worth getting a tune IMO after you get everything you want unless you want 15 tunes

also if you have manual, alot of people say to get the mrev 2 with the plenum spacer for max gains.

also id probably stay away from those pulley things. they might add HP but from what i keep reading the rotational mass isnt even anymore so it'll damage it sooner or later. who knows ill have to ask people who actually know what there talking about then taking these idiots advice LOL

The upgrade for the tune is free after you buy! You just let them know your upgrade they will send you the upgraded tune for free!

Yea I'd think there's a good amount of people on here who actually know what they're talking about tho, there's so many options I just want to get the most power I can with each individual add on and to set me up for the turbo of course after the engine gets a hell of an all around upgrade too. I heard the tuners can add 50+ hp on naturally aspirated engines and with all the bolt ons and upgrades I think 50 could be multiplied or increased greatly considering all the better airflow and parts

a 50hp gain is a long shot, 20-30 is the norm.

STRONG LOL at the $5-600 needed to install sway bars, ART pipes, a spacer, and exhaust. Op if you have a pair of hands this should be no problem lol especially hearing about your previous cars.....

And op we "idiots" on here have proven time and time again the z tube and revup box with a drop in is completely fine for an intake.

The money spent for a hissing noise can be put towards a MUCH better-than-stillen, motordyne exhaust.

Welcome btw. Try to filter out the unintelligent posts best you can.
