oil change at pepboys?

Do you guys think it's okay to get an oil change at pepboys?

I've just reached the break in period and wanna take my car in for an oil change but don't really want to bring it to the dealer for this service this time.

If you don't do it yourself, no matter where you take it, check everything when you get the car back. Like oil level, filter change, no leaks, all bolts back on engine cover etc etc.
Make sure they put in the correct oil and filter tho.

why dont you just bring it to infiniti? If I were you I wouldn't. When I was in highschool all shops like that higher high school kids to do that kind of work. Ive heard some pretty bad stories about the kind of f^ck ups my friend did when he used to work at sullivan tire. If I were you I would def not goto a place like that.

I wouldn't.

I had enough issues with them when i used to take my old car there for maintenence, plus most of the employee's are dirtballs so i would never want them within 10 feet of my G.

Take your car to Infiniti.

Because i live in an apartment with no garage so i don't have a place to do it.

I'm moving soon into the irvine area where i'll have an apartment with a garage and then it should be no problem for me to change it.

I've heard most people are paying 40 for oil changes?

If it makes you feel any better, I paid $75 for my last oil change at Sewell Infiniti. It's probably because I did synthetic oil.

I just do the change on the street even though I can do it on my driveway. I've also changed it in the walmart parking lot before. Just get a jack/stands and you're set.

See now this is my problem.

5 Quarts of Mobil 1 costs 20 dollars at walmart. A filter costs maybe 5 dollars. So for 25 dollars and 20 minutes of my time (assuming i have a hydrualic jack or jack stands) i could do the same thing.

I assume you do have an oil pan catcher.

My dealer dharges $40 for the oil and filter change and I get a loaner if I don't want to wait. A few years ago I just couldn't get the time to get to the dealer and the change was late, so I went to JiffyLube. I think, a few years ago, it ws about $32 (for my then I30) with no loaner. For me the dealer is a bargain.

If you don't get it done at Infiniti, get a receipt and keep it. That will be needed if there ia a warranty problem. And as suggested above, make sure when it is done that it ws done right, especially that there are no leaks.
