But do they clear the stock 17"'s??

My plan is to have a nice set of summer wheels - either coupe 19's or M 19's but keep the originals and toss some snow tires on for when the white stuff flies in the winter

Idk if they will clear the 17s.

Get any pics yet?

On second though, the brakes on this car are pretty darn good as is. I guess i don't really need to upgrade them. I'm not an aggressive driver with it, I think i just wanted to do it for looks.

Anyone know specs on rotor sizes front and rear for the '06's? Also what size diameter are the caliper's pistons?

No pics yet. By the time i get out of work it's dark, but i have a 4-day weekend so i'll grab some shortly

I do have 1 prob already. Actually 2. I figured out the blinking green light means the Intelligent key battery is running low, so i need to get a new batt. Anyone know what size batt they take?

#2, low tire pressure light came on today, but i checked tire pressure and they were all 30-32PSI. It did rain last night and was freezing cold overnight. Unsure if that plays any role? But now the light is on and my pressures are ok?

Other than that, i'm loving the car so far.

Ok, got the new battery in the fob. Problem solved.

As for the tire pressure warning light...does the full size spare contain a TPMS sensor?? I discovered the Previous owner bought a new set of tires and used the spare and just bought 3 new ones. He put an original wheel in the trunk. Anyway, i found it had a nail in it and was now flat. I plugged the tire and will put air in it tomorrow, but does the car monitor the pressure in the spare too??

Interestingly enough, my car has 26K miles and the tire i found in the spare well was worn down to the wear bars. The car now has new Goodyear Eagle RS-A's on it. Kinda makes me puzzled that it didn't make 30K miles on the original tires

Maybe the previous owner drove hard, or somthing.

I know our first G, the 04 X, had tires lasted almost until when we got rid of it (and we did a 4 year lease)

They should have definatly lasted longer than 26k miles, esp on an X.

Well i checked date codes on the tires and they are all from late 2005. SO that would make sense on a '06 model prob sold late '05 or early '06.

It's just puzzling that the spare tire was definitely mounted up and the tire worn, but the other 4 tires have normal wear. They are definitely not new, but they aren't even close to being done.

I'm just curious why i found my full size spare worn down to nothing, with a nail in the tire and flat?

Does the full size spare have a TPMS sensor in it? My tire pressure light is on which is what started me on this wild goose chase. Anyway to see externally if the tire contains a sensor inside?

The 4 tires might not have a lot of wear if the past owner had a set of aftermarket wheels and tires on the car (as I did when I had my 05X)

Pictures here. Ignore the vanity plate. It was on my previous Mustang that i traded in for this. I kept it so that when I complete my other Mustang project, i can put this plate on it in the spring time. So it's temporary on the G35

Did you replace the battery in the fob from the dealer or from somewhere else? Also, how much did it cost you? I just noticed the green key is blinking in my G35. Also, congrats on your purchase. The car looks very clean, but I would recommend a clear bra, since your car is black.

I did it myself. It's a standard battery i got from CVS. I forget the size though. CR2023? Anyway i bought one for $4.99 and popped it in the fob and was good to go.

I believe it is the CR025. At least that is what went into my FOB. All that is needed is a little screw driver to pop the FOB open. Remove the metal back-up key, and pop it open. Easy.

Winter rubber

Definetly go for the wiinter rubber. I have Blizzaks on my stock wheels here in Michigan. I release the VDC and this thing is funner to drive in the winter! I got them on ebay for around $300+. Search and enjoy the ride.
