Brakes Grinding noise coming from driver side front brakes

So I did a quick search and couldnt find exactly what was happening to my G, so here it goes.

I have an 03 Sedan and I just replaced the brakes and rotors at 90k miles. After I finished and drove the car for a bit I noticed a brushing/grinding/scraping noise coming from the front driver side. I took off that caliper and rotor and noticed some wear on the inside of the rotor and that pad but I couldnt find anything else causing the friction.

-It makes the sound at any speed whether its <5mph or highway speeds
-I checked for debris but there was none in there
-Constant noise and its driving me nuts trying to figure out whats happening with it
-It doesnt get louder or disappear as I am turning or braking, just constant depending on what speed I am at.

Any ideas?? Should I get these new rotors turned or anything??

Check the condition of the caliper slide pins. Make sure they are well greased up and can slide in and out easily.

Sometimes, they seize in place and cause issues with uneven wear. usually they are discovered during brake jobs when one notices a scraping or grinding becase the caliper cannot self-center with a new set of pads installed

Do you have a picture of the caliper side pins so I know exactly what I'm looking for?

Never mind I know what you're talking about. So I could just take them out, grease them, and put then back in? I might do that real quick and see what happens

See if you can slide the caliper from side to side when there is no pads, this might give you a good idea.

Sounds like what happened to me. When I put the rotors back on I put the backing plate on backwards. The plate was rubbing on the rotor and causing a grinding sound at any speed. It was an easy fix for me.

They should slide freely. If you take the caliper off and they don't, this is your issue.

If they move...move onto next thing.

Make sure rotor splash shield isn;t rubbing on the rotor when it spins.

It could be your wheel bearing too...but check the easy stuff first

^ +1 and if you changed just your rotors and not the pads that could be your problem too.
