06 G35X Sedan keeps blowing 40amp cooling fan fuse

Hello, i have an 06 G35 that keeps blowing the 40 amp cooling fan fuse, causing the car to overheat. Does anyone know what may be causing this? Thanks

I agree with yassy it most likely is one of your motors gone bad, I like to confirm electrical faults whenever possible though. There are two 40A fuses in the system, fuse H and fuse I, are they both blowing? If you want to confirm that one of your motors is the cause of the blown fuse, isolate the motors by disconnecting them. With the motors disconnected if your fuse or fuses don't blow, you have confirmed the problem to be the motor and eliminated all the other components and wiring in the circuit as the cause of your problem. If the fuse or fuses still blow with the motors disconnected you need to continue troubleshooting. Good luck.

Both fuse do blow...i notice that they blow faster once the A/C is operating...thats also when the problem 1st occurred once i adjusted the A/C unit...

They blow sooner with the A/C because the minute you turn the A/C on the fans are designed to kick on. Otherwise with the A/C off, the fans will kick on only when the engine reaches high temperature and requires cooling. What do you mean adjusted the A/C unit?

With that said, try what I told you in my earlier post. With two good fuses installed, disconnect the fans. There are two connectors by the fan assembly one for each fan. Start the car and turn the A/C on and see if the fuses blow. Keep in mind though that you have to monitor your coolant temperature gauge so that you don't let the engine overheat. If the fuses don't blow then I would agree with yassy that your fans are the problem.
