'12 G37 NON-S Daytime LED on 07/08 35S Bumper?

Anyone here know if this has been done, or if the sizing is even close? If there is also something close to this accessory for the 07 35s someone let me know please.

no one here has done em, the vents on the non-s 12's are bigger than the 35S vents so it wont fit without modification at which point its not worth the $$ imo, if u really want that look u can get 6 big weatherproof white leds off of ebay and install in same pattern for less than $50

I was going to get the OE kit but to me, it wasn't worth the risk of it not fitting or the relays not being compatible. I bought 4 x 3watt LEDs (iJDMTOY?) and a LED DRL wiring kit from ebay--~$75 total.

That's awesome. Do you have a write up on how you did this? Or links to what you purchased? This is a project I want to do soon!!!

No writeup but here is an excerpt from a post I made earlier:
Quote:
LEDs are mountable singles from V-LEDs.com (using facebook coupon code) ()
DRL wiring (on when engine running) from ebay. ()
The DRL LEDs turn on as soon as you start the engine and for a few seconds after you turn the car off--there is no on/off switch. You do NOT have to remove your bumper, just the plastic cover fasteners on the bottom and then reach your hand in. Then you just drill a small hole where you want the LED. Since the bumper slopes down, I would use the ridges on the fake vent to tilt the led upward more. Install is pretty cake. I used the v-leds LEDs and they are plenty bright--more intense than even my 6000k HID headlamps. However, I see that iJDMToys has 3W LED's that seem lower profile and have a better mounting setup. Might be a good idea to pick up an extra pair in case one LED burns out prematurely. At least mine seemed metal-bodied so probably acts like it's own heat sink for cooling.

I am really happy with the way it turned out. makes the car look special and does not copy other OE makes LED DRL setups.

I just looked on v-led.com and they are 15 bucks a bulb. In you opinion are they worth the price? Well made? I plan to put 3 on each side.

Where are you located? Where do I hook up the wires to? and which one do i buy on ebay? How long does the install take about?

I got mine for $12 each with coupon. They are well made but do stick out from the bumper more than I'd like. I definitely would try out the iJDMTOY ones which are $25/pair.

I am in Ohio. The wires are just + and -. The LEDs have + and -. Only the wiring is what I got from Ebay. The LEDs you get from iJDMTOY or V-LED or what have you.

never been a fan of the LED DRL look but this does not look bad. Nice work, but I think you need one (or 2) more make an angle around the vent opening.

Would you mind posting a pic closer up and perhaps from the side? I want to see how much they stick out. The v-led ones look better made than the iJDMtoy place

Re: space behind vent

There is enough space behind the entire vent (as far as I can tell) to put any sort of panel mount fixture in. There is for sure less on the passenger side where the windshield reservoir is but there is still maybe 2" on that side.

I did the headlight shrouds myself, yes.
