Resetting ECU/Throttle body after spacer install

Im installing a motordyne 1/2 iso thermal plenum spacer. Do i need to reset the ECU and/or throttle body? Did an intensive search couldnt find the answer.

you don't need to...but it can't hurt. Don't disconnect the TB cuz there is no reason to and then you won't have to worry about resetting throttle air volume.

I highly advise you to reset the ecu.. after i installed my spacer i was idling at 1200rpms.. after i reset it, it went back to 850... Here's the steps to do it in case you need them :
Basic ECU Reset

Operations Procedures:

1. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” (NOT start) and wait 3 seconds.
2. Repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.
2a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
2b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4. Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5. Wait about 10 seconds.
6. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7. Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone. If the CEL light continues to remain ON, repeat the above steps. Remember, timing is EXTREMELY critical to resetting the ECU. You may even need someone's help to do this correctly.

you reset the idle air volume with a gas pedal procedure similar to the ECU reset procedure.

Idle should be at 700 +/- 50 rpm (650-750rpm) higher than this is not normal.

Idle will be higher until the car warms up.

I had mine turned up to ~1k for the cams.

Idle question

got a question for everyone, i just installed the polished plenums, throttle body and spacer...got a CEL on..so I followed the reset steps and everything was great..idle went back to normal etc...the problem is that if I turn off the car, it seems to somehow reset n jumps back to 1k idle rpm...ideas anyone?

Honestly, i wouldn't worry about the 1K idle, as long as it isnt any higher than that. Mine idles anywhere from 850-1000k, and i do have the spacer and a few other mods...
