None of the Above....!

Stillens CAI/Z-Tube combination, zero issues with heat soak and almost impossible to ingest moisture....

I don't know about zero issues with heat soak. It's certainly one of the better after market options, but it still isn't completely sealed, either.

OEM is the best design. You won't outflow it, and it's the most "cold air intake" of any of them out there.

If you really want function over form. Get an OEM rev-up airbox, with an Amsoil Dry flow drop in panel filter, and a Z tube. Then call it a day. You will have the coldest, most straight shot intake, and you will still be filtering well too.

AEM- Pros: Sounds/looks cool

Cons: Metal-retains heat,
Open filter design-sucks in underhoodheat,
Oil Filter- Filters poorly compared to OEM Panel filter

OEM- Pros: True "cold air" intake, is completely sealed off from engine
Plastic- Doesn't retain heat as much as metal
Paper filter-Filtering quality is far superior

Cons: It doesn't look or sound "cool".

Moral of the story. Try it out! You can always re-sel it. Just hang on to your old stuff so when you do go back, it won't cost you anything!

so an OEM filter setup with z-tube would be the best set up according to halfass872....? or does the z-tube not matter all that much...?

I just bought a Z tube and waiting for the package. I am going to install on the G right away without a filter upgrade. I have been looking at the Stillen Highflow airbox/filter due to the OEM look and added sound. I look forard to any information others have b/c I'm in the same spot. - 2003.5 Sedan 5AT

Any suggestions on where to get the REV UP airbox? I looked at one place and it was $85.
