Yokohama Avid ENvigor in snow?

Hi, I wanted to know your thoughts on driving a 2003 g35 coupe with sport package on Yokohama Avid Envigor(W) in the snow?

I just moved back to Michigan from California.

I have a trip to Maryland in a few days and I am sure the tires will get me there great, but on the way back it will probably be snowing with some ice on the roads?

Looking for some experienced opinions, have any of you successfully driven quality All Season tires in winter climates?

I have read on other threads that people were fine in light winter weather, I don't want to drive it in the worst of winter conditions, but I hope that it can handle light snow fine so I make it back safely..

I understand getting Blizzak's is ideal, but I just bought these tires on the way out here, because Blizzak's were not available in California.

Money is a bit tight right now, so getting the Blizzak's or a snow beater aren't the most viable options.

How far can I push these tires, what are the true capabilities? I understand the g35 sucks in snow.

Thanks so much for any advice, input or help offered!

In all honesty, you are going to have a real hard time driving with these in any kind of winter conditions.

The Avids are a great summer tire and that's where it ends, ask anyone that works at a tire shop, "all season tires" are meant for all season california driving, not for snow use.

I heard great reviews about the Avid Envigors. My buddy drives them in chicago, crazy snow here + no snow trucks to clear out the streets -_-. They are on par with conti DWS. If you can find conti dws on sale, i'd recommend those, but if not, these will be your 2nd best bet. btw, I just bought a a set of dws tires. should be entertaining this winter.

You guys are nuts, I'd never run all seasons in the snow.

I'd say in light snow climates, suburbs and such you would be fine. I wouldn't take them through an unplowed rural road and expect much. However, average winter conditions I don't see a problem.

thanks ya'll for the input... need to get some new kicks - and mr. tire has a deal now, buy 4 get 1 free - so a set of 4 all season Yokohama Avid Envigor will be $630. on the rim and out the door (plus, Yokohama is having a promo for a free Ravens jersey when buying 4 tires).
